I
make custom mirrors, so often I have mirrors from different substrates
(types of glass) underway at the same time. This last week, I
worked on four different types of glass. They're all
collected
here on a table. (They are sitting on rings of PVC pipe.)
- At
left is a 16" F/4.5 mirror, from 1.1"-thick quartz.
- At
center, top, is an 8" plate glass mirror, about 1" thick.
- At center,
bottom, is a 12" F/4 cast cellular mirror (blank made by Dream
Cellular, LLC), weighing only 3.5 lbs!
- At
right is a 16" F/5 mirror, from 1.4"-thick Pyrex.
All
except the 16" F/5 Pyrex mirror are completed and ready to ship.
The 16" F/5 is ready figure, and available if you are in the
market for such a
mirror.
